As the years roll by, Rhinos sometimes like to recollect what happened “back then”, more or less. Romance and nostalgia tint our collective Rhino Memoirs. Facts are open to Interpretation, recalled or not as the case may require. What set of narrative ideas can resist improvement?
We would like to point out that the Bygone Days actually start Yesterday.
Today ‘Your Inner Rhino’ salutes Mr. Andy Warhol, whose artistic work has made a big impression on the Arts, here and about.
One thing We like about it, is the refreshing awareness that although things may look the same, indeed they are individual… so the Same but, simultaneously, not the Same.
Rhinos may look somewhat alike, but our inner beings are individual, singular, and marvelous.
Rhinos like Variety, new stuff, new insights, novel perceptions. But for those enthusiasms to be effective, We need to keep Alert, listening for Opportunity to knock. Because, if We don’t…
We just wander along, doing the same old, same old, same old.
And Same Old, Same Old can become habit forming. True fact.
Occasionally YIR gets a note from a Reader, saying that Rhino Ways seem Mysterious. On these occasions We at YIR roll our eyes, given that the entire purpose of ‘Your Inner Rhino’ is to inform, clarify, and relate to our Readers.
Tangentially, it is a fact that We Rhinos find Human Motivation pretty Mysterious now and then. As you can probably imagine.
Solution?: We can all Keep Trying.
We may not own any Balloons, but Rhinos enjoy them by extension, applying our Imaginations and capacities for Euphoria to these common toys. We participate, just the same, pretty much.
Fun is Fun is Fun, second hand as well as first. Also third hand, etc.
Still Fun.
Wherever We Rhinos find ourselves, We learn how to juggle our activities to suit the shifting Seasons.
As with many Rhino Adjustments, We often can only imagine those demands; We don’t own any “ice cream’. Trust Us, imaginary is even better than the real thing, and there’s more flavors.
Still, it requires Athleticism to participate. Oh yeah. Rhinos have to stay supple in many ways.
Often the Fourth of July involves civic aerial dramatics; Big Blasts, Big Noise, but this year less so.
This year YIR is focused on Nature’s little fireworks. Happliy so.
Generally speaking, of course We are Rhinos, just as many of our Readers are Humans. But each and every one of Us Rhinos is as specific to our history, family, fortunes, and inclinations as any of our Readers. Each of Us is a particular piece of work, changing by the hour.
There may be similarities among Rhinos, but there are no Duplicates.
Each of Us may not be the Ultimate Masterpiece, but that doesn’t detract from our Exceptional Individuality. Nor Yours either.
Magic is appealing to everyone; the idea that things can be changed by waving our hands or muttering something transformative.
Rhinos like stories where something happens out of the blue. The planet bows to our will. A Big Freebie! Where do We sign up?!?
Rhinos like to practice, just in case things are going our way. Open Sesame! Please.
