Gone but not Forgotten

RhinoTots are raised by their Moms. Their Dads do their duty, then wander off on other business. But the Idea of a Dad is still potent in the RhinoTot’s imagination.

It should be no surprise that these invisible Dads often take on heroic or fabulous aspects, a consequential back-up in the RhinoTot psyche.

In the Wild, any support We can each assemble is considered a Good Thing.

Oh Brother!

Rhinos see ourselves as Members of a giant Family. Our Mainspring has not changed fundamentally since the Get-Go, when Nature produced Rhino #1.

Our family tree is Great Big. We have tried out all sorts of different sizes, appearances, variations, and mindsets over the ages. We all have in common one thing: Rhino Heart.

So every Rhino is related to every other Rhino, Here or in the Hereafter. Call them Sisters, Cousins, or whatever… the details are not the issue; Rhino Heart is.

Complacency

The Greater Rhino Family has a lot to feel good about. 50 million years of genealogy allows for a lot of both 1) Change, and 2) Relative Calm, in between times (usually thousands or millions of years.)

Rhinos are mostly ready for a challenge, but those who choose to ignore Nature’s shifts often end up extinct. When Change happens, it takes no prisoners. Whole branches of our family tree are defunct; fondly recalled, but nonetheless gone.

Here We see a Wooly Rhino enjoying an Ice Age, and why not? A lot of the challenge is solved by Rhino Mindset. Yup.

Pressing Onward

There is a certain mystique to the way each of Us Rhinos addresses Life’s Many Experiences. So many complex decisions, choices, options. Go left, right, up, down? Who can tell?

Since Logic often confuses Us, Rhinos are dependent on our Inner Guide. We proceed and hope for the best.

As a system for combatting Confusion, this works as well as any Rhinos know of. That said, We do watch our step.

Lumps

Phrenology is the practice of feeling around for bumps on the head, lumps which explain why Rhinos act as We do. The process is fun, since We don’t know what We might find. Rhinos all have lumps here and there, but if they indicate something beside clumsiness, who could tell Us what?

We do not know, but We still pat our heads. When it occurs to Us.

We may not know Today what is going on, Phrenologically, but who can say about tomorrow? Right. Nobody.

Staff Meetings

On Reader Request, We wanted to give you a good idea of what the assembled staff would look like, if they were all available at the same time. Which they are not. It has many of the qualities of a Love In, or possibly, a Rugby Scrum. A great many opinions, expressed with Vigor.

‘Your Inner Rhino’ central office juggles Input from all quarters of the World, for our Readership’s illumination, in an effort to help you discover and rejoice in Your Inner Rhino.

Contributory Thoughts are always Welcome.
