One Method, or another…

Today ‘Your Inner Rhino’ salutes Konstantin Stanislavski, b. 1863. He developed a style for the theatre , attempting a more naturalistic approach, especially to character. His influence dominates most acting today, both in stage and film work.

Stanislavski directed and acted with Russian authors, like Anton Chekhov and Maxim Gorky. He was also a founder of the Moscow Art Theatre.

Rhinos like acting, though it took Us quite a while to figure out what it is. We are not very good at pretense, among ourselves, or anywhere else, for that matter. Still, We are enthusiastic voyeurs.

Beyond Logic

We Rhinos depend on Intuition to a great extent. Oh, We may bring in Knowledge, Rational Support, or Interpretation later, to prove We knew what We were doing, but who is fooled? No Rhino, that’s certain.

Where is Intuition stored? Does it just lurk over our shoulder, or reside in one of our Ankles, for ready reference? The issue is Unsettled.

What matters more is how Grateful We are for this Natural System of Meaningful Notification.

Thoughts?

The Staff of ‘Your Inner Rhino’ is aware that Rhinos hold a fascination for the Reader. Obviously, right? We certainly find ourselves riveting.

On a usual basis, We select a Topic, and address it. But it would be dandy if You, the Readership, posed questions or suggestions or comments on Topics of particular Interest to you. The Staff would hate to think you were pining for something which We could illuminate, happily.

Each of you has an Inner Rhino, We want you to feel welcome to pose ideas or whatevers. Yes? Rest assured, Nothing is too Trivial for Us!

A Wee Reminder

Here at ‘Your Inner Rhino’ We often get questions about our wardrobes. How many outfits do we have, and how big is that closet? We, the Staff, smirk and roll our eyes. We giggle.

That is because all Rhino Outfits are imaginary. We don’t own anything, including clothing. Where would We put it in the Wild?

However, our Imaginations are crazed, allowing Us access to just about anything We can think of, costumes included. And, they all fit on one hanger!

Hurdy Gurdy

As We all wave ‘so long’ to the holidays, We must return to the Grind.

The Rhino Version of a Grind mostly has to do with chewing. No problem there, as our holidays and all our other days have that in common.

We here provide an Organ Grinder as a reminder. It’s a jolly line of work all Rhinos honor and admire.

Knit One, Purl One

Yes, yes, Your Inner Rhino is well aware that this year’s Ugly Christmas Sweater Day has come and gone. However, today’s post is provided so that you have a full year to get ready for the next UCS Day. When doing Ugly, don’t forget that a knowledge of knitting is barely necessary… extremely few Rhinos are skilled that way.

Our Readers are at liberty to improvise on this cunning design in a spiraling array of Variations.

2019 is on its way: Get Prepared.
