California is a prosperous place, and many a Rhino has thrived there. Many still do today.
A note to those with a mind to pay attention: Stardom is not all it’s cracked up to be. Trust Us.
Some critters are born smooth, and then, as time goes by, they get wrinkly, but not so much with Rhinos; We arrive wrinkly on Day #1. Naturally, We like it that way; what’s the alternative?
An interesting coordinated fact is that Rhinos stay not only wrinkly, but Young at Heart, first laugh to the last.
Not that Rhino Life is one big giggle, but We try not to let little stuff get under our skin.
Things do not always go our way or as planned or expected. Rhinos cannot win them all (though We have hopes that that system may change, sooner rather than later.)
RhinoPhilosophy carries Us along, most days. Cold as the Comfort may be: things could be Worse.
Always.
Even We Rhinos are prey to Doubts. We can’t tell if We are as fascinating to others as We are to ourselves.
All Rhinos find ourselves riveting, but each of Us has the inside track on our Insights and Wit. Still, there is no predicting if We are allowing our Best to truly shine.
When We tell a joke, do other folks get it? Sadly, not always.

What Rhinos assume is Nature’s Big Message is: We don’t know. No amount of jiggling that Crystal Ball is going to let Us know what’s on the horizon.
So, Rhinos have gotten used to that idea. It saves a lot of wear and tear.
We are not recommending Resignation. We are recommending getting Real.
Rhinos do need a lot of Food to help Us keep up appearances. Maintaining our mass is no joke to Us. It’s just Chew, Chew, Chew (like a train, heh, heh.)
We are not Greedy. We are Insatiable. There is a difference.

Rhinos are the first to sing the praises of Baked Goods, but There is a ‘downside’. BGs constitute a Temptation to one and all, especially Knaves.
Crime is seldom pretty, but misappropriated Sweets can serve as grounds for Hostilities.

Contrary to popular rumor, Rhinos can, and do, back up. It is not a graceful business, but it does sometimes get us where We need to go.
Nature did not design Us to easily peer past our own grandiose amplitude. Thus, when confronted with situations demanding reverse gear, We have minor misgivings. We prefer to turn and move out.
Kangaroos cannot go backward, We are told. For all Rhinos know, it’s true.
As you are probably aware, in the Wild there are no stores. Rhinos do all our mealtime shopping right at the source, be it field or stream or where-have-you, day or night, We see what’s fresh and fruity and get down to business. Soup’s on!
We press on from season to season, following Nature’s signs and provisions. Occasionally there are issues with uncooperative weather, but mostly, We thrive.
We generally consume 100 pounds of food each day, so you can see why Rhinos do not hesitate to chew. Got to keep fit and robust.
