Ba-Booooszh!

Rhinos do not own Pillows, it is true. But Pillows do exist, and Rhinos have followed their progress for a long time.

The Point is, We were among the first to explore the satisfactions of Pillow Fights! Whacking a Pillow and seeing the feathers go whirling around, well, for an effect, it’s hard to beat.

Once again, We were there, dear Readers. Rhinos get around.

FlapJacked

Rhinos are as susceptible as anybody when it comes to the turmoil of Changing Plans unexpectedly.

We were set to execute Plan A, and find that Plan Z has taken over, is under way, with or without our Best Wishes.

There is probably a stirring metaphor about the Tides, but We can’t think what it might be.

Congrats

Each individual Rhino is best tuned to our Inner Rhino, in subtle, unique ways. Thus each of Us is aware of our Victories over Dubious Choices, those moments when We approach our potential for Excellence.

So who is better at acknowledging these Triumphs than We ourselves? Right. Nobody.

Rhinos are not double-jointed, which makes Pats on the Back tricky. But We each do what We can, when appropriate; it’s the spirit of the thing that counts.

Wee Reminder

Today is National Argyle Day.

Argyll is an area in western Scotland, in case it slipped your mind. We are reliably informed that the knitting pattern for Argyle comes from there, widely used in sporty apparel.

Rhinos like to think of ourselves, decked out in stylish knits, wandering around, collecting compliments. So far, We have not succeeded along those lines, but you never know…

Blue

Depression is no laughing matter, as any Rhino would tell you. Left to fester, it can be debilitating indeed.

For Us, the problem indicates some lack of clarity about one’s Inner Resources, which are Infinite. Somehow, no matter how, the focus has shifted to judgments and analysis, which can only damage the sensitive core.

Rhinos try to shift their attention to the Inner Rhino, the Natural Center, to help reconfigure perspective. Help is available, but We do have to ask and pay attention.

It also helps to discuss matters, to get a realistic idea of what Happiness looks like. Often expectations are out of proportion. One hint: Happiness does not look like a shampoo commercial.
