January 6 is Twelfth Night.
What makes it Twelfth Night would be easier to explain if We were better at counting, but We aren’t. Anyway, it is a time for Foolhardy Merriment, so We are the right customers, never doubt it. Anything that prompts high jinks and mindless frivolity calls to Us; We are wired for it. The trumpet blows, We suit up and sashay into the arena. Yoicks! also Tally Ho!
January 5 is the full Moon this month.
Though you probably know that the tides are Unpredictable, you might contemplate yourself. We know We become astonishing and bizarre when the Moon is full, so in all likelihood you will too. Certainly your Inner Rhino will.
There is a thrill factor to the full Moon, We admit. Part of one’s wits are functional, but the insights of Full-Moonism do not yield to simple willpower. Our chemicals are affected, not a lot but enough. Obviously We mostly come out all right. But Sometimes, We land in a Strange New World. Maybe that’s how things are supposed to work; The full Moon may be here to adjust our internal recipe. Nature does not report to Us, so We can’t be certain.
Assessing the results of any Full Moon is puzzling. Which of Us is OK, and who needs observation? Never easy to know, ya know? Seeya Tuesday…
We are naturally athletic and enjoy participating in exotic local customs. We do not usually approve of throwing food, but there seems to be some question about the nature of Fruitcake, so We turn a blind eye to that subject; We simply do not qualify as judges, seldom encountering Fruitcake at mealtime in the Wild. But one thing Fruitcakes have with which We are completely sympatico, and that is Heft.

Many gifted Readers have weighed in since We began in October. It is not possible to express the deep sense of gratitude We feel for your support and good faith. The good opinion of good people is our ultimate goal, right? We luxuriate in the encouragement of the Very Best People.
And so, on behalf of all of Us at Your Inner Rhino, We say “Aloha” to 2014, our debut year. We thank you all for visiting Us, and hope to see you back again. Often.
Masterpieces are not as rare as some folk think. We think of ourselves in that light, all the time. We also extend that concept to everyone around Us, Rhino and others as well. We figure Nature is always working toward some engaging but incomprehensible definition of Perfection, so We are part of that plan, like everyone else. Nobody is more crucial to the Whole than anybody else; We are all working to do our bit to improve matters.
If We can’t grasp the perfection of another critter, We try to work on our thinking, not on that critter. For all We know, that critter has an inside track on something truly nifty, something We could learn. An amazing system when you think about it. So many teachers. All together We, you, they make a pretty outstanding gallery, All Masterpieces.
We like stories that the Young can easily recall, almost all of which feature a Memorable Moral.
