Given that Rhinos own nothing, plain or fancy, you may think We don’t give Style a second thought. You would be mistaken. We sometimes imagine ourselves in Exceptional Runway Situations.
Why not? We put in a lot of chewing time, and contemplating ourselves all fancy-pantsed is fun. It lightens our Philosophic Load, which is considerable.
The Real Error would be if We imagined making such an Impression meant anything worth knowing about.
Rhinos have extraordinary Vision. True. But We do not have one version, We have several sorts. They are:
A) Normal Day Vision, when We tune it in, which We don’t do all the time. Color. B) Colorless Vision, useful most of the time. That way, We don’t fatigue our eyes. C) Night Vision, because We are out and about at all hours, hunting and gathering. D) Scent-o-Vision, which is how things Resonate. It is so similar to Rhino Dream Vision, that We skipped further differentiation.
Are Rhinos lucky, or What?!?
A few times a day (or an hour) We Rhinos get a burst of Pep. We welcome these spontaneous gear shifts as they propel Us along our Rhinoid path.
Rhinos are fueled with Grass Power. Can’t be beat!
Yes, yes. Well, We are not green, at least on the outside. So let’s hear no more about it, please.
Mr. Ibn Battuta (b.1304) was a Moroccan Muslim who spent 40 years exploring the medieval Islamic world of his time. He went to Mecca 7 times during his lifetime, and many other places as well.
At that time it was investigation by the seat of the pants. He explored, travelled, and geographized. And got on boats! He wrote a book called ‘The Travels’.
Had Mr. Ibn Battuta lacked an Inner Rhino, We wonder what might have become of him. Curiosity is hard on cats, but it often helps Rhinos thrive. Case in point, yes?
Your Inner Rhino wants to hail the athletes at the Winter Games. If their efforts defy Logic, they certainly define Audacity. And a little of that is a good thing, We’d say. Every now and then.
We would also like to acknowledge all the contestants We did not see, not only in PyeongChang but also around the world. The Olympic Accomplishment is determined by the mass of athletes, not by the winners. All the athletes are competing with their own possibility, ultimately.
At least, that’s how We Rhinos see it. The Victory is in the effort to Excel.
IF We are to believe that changing our Present will change our Future, then might We not also select an altered Past, thus altering both our Present and our Future?
And may Fiction of any kind alter our view, thus rearranging all our interpretations and perceptions?
The same might be said of Facts, but Rhinos have doubts about Facts, one way and another.
‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’ is a 1912 song by Jack Judge and H.J. Williams. Rhinos are not native to Tipperary, so its far-awayness is cloudy to Us.
But one thing We can point out is: the closer you are to Tipperary when you set out, the shorter your hike is likely to be.
Refute that, if you can.

On another note, We recommend the paintings of Tarsila do Amaral (1886-1973), a Brazilian artist of distinction. Even if Rhinos don’t live in South America at the moment, We may end up there yet. That sounds like a “So Good” to Us.
