R Warning System

We critters in the Wild are Quiet. We don’t clutter the airwaves with chatter. We Rhinos are each tending to our own affairs, most of them chewable. Placid.

However, when We need to send bulletins, We have a range of techniques. Our energies focus, our parts go on alert. Our entire Body Language informs our stance, our scent, our orientation. Other critters, at least the smart ones, get out of the way. We become the Body Electric.

We signal our intentions. We communicate by Image. Those that live near Us in the Wild get the message, Loud and Clear.

The Social Graces

Rhinos sometimes wonder why We are seldom presented as Cultured. What do We lack?

We have concluded that Rhinos are too straight-forward and unapologetic. We don’t intend to be difficult, but why disguise our goals with convoluted Decorum? Why not just attend to ourselves, and let it go at that? We don’t intend to please or displease any critter: sounds pretty Elegant to Us.

When We err, We try to improve. In conclusion, Rhinos have Good Enough Behavior.

Exasperations

No matter how smoothly Rhinos may want a given day to go, there are always minor Misgivings, Irritations and Distractions tugging at Us. Some are more demanding than others, but all in all, they want attention.

We try to ignore these Molestations, but No; they won’t be shushed. They compete with one another for Priority.

The RhinoApproach to Aggravation is Stoic Endurance. 1) We have little choice, and 2) it builds Character, or so We’re told.

To-Jo-To-Ho!

Herr Richard Wagner was born May 22, 1813. He is doubtless the best known German opera composer of the 19th century. He had plenty of artistic temperament and zeal. He did not lack Ambition; he liked to think “BIG“.

Some of his operas retell Northern mythology with a lot of sweeping, muscular music. Rhinos like our music packed with Gusto, right? You bet.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag!, Herr Wagner, say We

Here and/or There

Rhinos are used to hearing of folks going Insane, meaning they are not behaving as they used to. But what is clearly going on is a rearrangement of ideas and priorities, a recalibration of Internal Processes.

So it is completely possible that We are going Sane. That question is all about Definitions and Expectations. For all any of Us Rhinos know, the Rhino in question, clearly agitated, is just getting rid of extraneous Mental Luggage.

Afterward, everyone may feel Better, for all We can predict.

Oh My!

Rhinos are aware that We spend our time choosing how We are spending our time. We do this, or that or perhaps this, but tomorrow.

The emotional component, the sense of Urgency, is something We supply to enhance the choice. That’s what makes most choices memorable; that flip-out App.

Rhinos like drama, in theory. We mostly practice it in our daily lives. Peanut butter or tuna? Oh dear, oh dear!
