In the Wild, Nature provides a lot of Opportunity for the alert Rhino. (For the not-so-alert Rhino, probably not as many). Anyhow, there they are for the Rhino attuned to them.
An Invitation to the Unexpected. We just engage with the Moment, and see what happens.
And then…? Developments!
Mostly, Rhino days are taken up with basic functions, like eating, sleeping, and watering. We are Nature’s Playthings, after all.
Still, there is always room for Investigation, for Excursions and Expeditions. Every day offers Education, left and right.
That’s what We Rhinos are all about. Experience.
Rhinos are what We eat, no two ways about it. Fact.
Period.
2 is the number between 1 and 3. It is also where most Rhinos would calibrate their state of mind, in general. Neither comatose nor hyper-driven. Cruise control.
We mention this in relation to “Going Crazy”. For Rhinos, the odds are just as good of “Going Sane”. Since neither alternative occurs that often, We don’t spend a lot of time evaluating. We Cruise.
Somewhere between Neutral and Natural.
Most Cultures have special Sayings which mean a lot, if you are a member of that species. If not, the subtlety of the communication is often impenetrable. What resonates with a Codfish may not stimulate the rest of Us, though it makes other Codfishes frantic with merriment.
Rhinos are neither better nor worse along these lines. Many Rhino ‘home truths’ leave Wildebeests tepid, at best.
We Rhinos often think of the Tower of Babel in this regard. So much possibility of Cultural Sharing, so much lost in Linguistics.

Many YIR Readers probably have accomplishments, one way and another, Acknowledgements of extraordinary Achievement. For our Readers, these are satisfying and exciting.
While We Rhinos applaud anything that pleases our Readers, We feel We should mention that a Rhino Accomplishment is directly related to our being here Today.
Living in the Wild is not a picnic. Rhinos make the best of a tricky bargain daily. Grim reflections set aside, We just say ‘Thank You’ and press forward.
Happily, there are no Detour signs in the Wild since We in the Wild can’t read.
The bigger thing is that We Rhinos are unpredictable in getting from where We are to the next place where We’ll be. We each wander at will, for our own odd reasons, and in our own good time.
A Detour only works if you have a Destination in the first place. Rhinos seldom do.
In the Wild, all Rhino Senses need to be in good shape, most essentially smell and hearing. The Wild is rich with layer upon layer of source material, both animal and vegetable. We need to be alert and responsive.
Any help We can manage is well worth the effort. The Wild needs attention and cunning, plus a fair assessment of the playmates, visible or not.
