‘Your Inner Rhino’ has been reliably informed that today has been the first day of September! It came as a surprise, frankly. Sort of mysterious, if you ask Us.
Time is funny and calendars are pretty funny too. By funny, We mean fundamentally inconceivable.
Rhinos like to know Critters that know Stuff, but not all the information We get computes. For Us.

In the normal ebb and flow of Daily Interactions, a critter is often asked to step up, one way or another.
These are classic ‘Push-Come-to-Shove’ situations.
In the Wild, Rhinos are often at the top of the list for those seeking Back-up. Pushing is a recognized Rhino Specialty, ditto Shoving.
Time’s Merry Pranks
Some critters are born smooth, and then, as time goes by, they get wrinkly, but not so much with Rhinos; We arrive wrinkly on Day #1. Naturally, We like it that way; what’s the alternative?
An interesting coordinated fact is that Rhinos stay not only wrinkly, but Young at Heart, first laugh to the last.
Not that Rhino Life is one big giggle, but We try not to let little stuff get under our skin.

Things do not always go our way or as planned or expected. Rhinos cannot win them all (though We have hopes that that system may change, sooner rather than later.)
RhinoPhilosophy carries Us along, most days. Cold as the Comfort may be: things could be Worse.

Wondering
Rhinos often wonder why Stories seem so entertaining, full of exotic characters, surprising activities, and energetic build-ups. Does everybody live in such a World?
Frankly, in the Wild, things are exciting, but Rhinos don’t often think of the events as Thrilling, more as Alarming.
Maybe light-hearted disaster is the nature of Fiction.
Considerations
Even We Rhinos are prey to Doubts. We can’t tell if We are as fascinating to others as We are to ourselves.
All Rhinos find ourselves riveting, but each of Us has the inside track on our Insights and Wit. Still, there is no predicting if We are allowing our Best to truly shine.
When We tell a joke, do other folks get it? Sadly, not always.

Merry Isthmus
Today seemed an appropriate day for saluting the Isthmus. ‘Your Inner Rhino’ is mildly dismayed that these gestures are not more common than they seem to be.
The Isthmus is renowned for its ability to connect one land lump to another, albeit a pretty skinny connection. Thus the Isthmus keeps one Watery Mass from another.
We assume the Isthmus is fulfilling some plan of Nature, and who’s nuts enough to question that?!?
In the Wild
What Rhinos assume is Nature’s Big Message is: We don’t know. No amount of jiggling that Crystal Ball is going to let Us know what’s on the horizon.
So, Rhinos have gotten used to that idea. It saves a lot of wear and tear.
We are not recommending Resignation. We are recommending getting Real.
