From time to time, Rhinos find ourselves in the vicinity of sporting events, much frantic activity and athletic endeavor. Exciting in an abstract way.
What is frustrating is our creeping awareness that We have no idea what’s going on, or why.
It looks like fun, so that is good. Maybe the rules are on a need-to-know basis. Right?
Once there were 3 sisters, named Rhonda, Rhumba, and Rholexa. They went to lunch by crossing a bridge. They returned home the same way.
So the question is, was this one round trip each day, or three (or six) trips over three (or six) different bridges at three (or six) different times, each day?
Exactly what happened would not be established by any one sister’s report vs another’s. Thus, a conundrum, i.e., a something to think about. For Us.
West Virginia was established by Congress as the 35th State today in 1863, separating from Virginia at that time.
West Virginia seems a bit confused about whether it is the Northernmost Southern State, or the Southernmost Northern State. It is too tricky a discussion for Rhinos to voice, or even have, an opinion.
One thing We can tell you is, the Rhododendron is West Virginia’s state flower. Rhino Alert: Rhododendrons are not good for you, so look but don’t nibble. Really.
Rhinos are getting themselves tuned up for tonight’s Full Moon.
Marvelous, though a bit exhausting. Anticipation can wear a critter out.
Catastrophes happen, no two ways about it. Things are dandy, and then, without warning, they are not dandy.
The Rhino Quandary is usually whether to shriek with woe or laughter. More often than not, We go with Choice #2.
Primal Screams really take it out of Us.
No matter how Grand our fancies, We Rhinos are a down-to-earth crowd. How ever self-confident We may be, and with every good reason, We are not given to Pride.
In fact, We avoid particular Attitudes. This is because Rhinos are somewhat Mercurial: Hotsy-totsy one minute, and Down-and-dirty the next.
We are quick to shift gears, which is a sign of either mental agility or unusual circuitry. We’ve never figured out which.
Rhinos do not have an easy time conceptualizing our Imaginary Wardrobes. We ponder how much is enough, vs how much is too much, vs how could a little more hurt?
More is More, which is more than the former More, right?
Why hold back? Say no more.
Some Habits are difficult to give up or alter.
Of the projects in a Rhino’s life, many of these Habits seem pretty innocent, so why the fuss?
MYOB, that’s what We say.
Rhinos have lots of Imagination, so you might think that with a certified, genuine Magic Lamp, We could come up with some remarkable wishes.
But We have to say, mostly even when Rhinos get what We asked for, the thrill of satisfaction is often missing. The thing is what We wanted, but it does not scratch the itch We felt it would.
Funny about that.
Rhinos are always open to Good Suggestions, but when it comes to Rules, We are less responsive. Who is in a position to know more than We do? (Other than our Moms.)
No, almost every Rule Rhinos need to know comes from Nature. We are hard-wired by Nature and follow Nature’s dictates. School is always in session.
And that works out hunky-dory.
