Ho Hum

Rhinos are  only slightly acquainted with Boredom. We are so intensely involved with our many Insights and Observations that We never lack Stimulation.

On occasion, for fun, We Rhinos might do our ‘Bored Routine’, but our imitations are seldom convincing.

It is not easy to suppress that alert R Twinkle in our eye.

on our minds

We sometimes get questions about the mumbling We Rhinos are prone to. It is so common that We don’t remark upon it amongst ourselves.

Muttering is part of a running interior dialogue each Rhino maintains during consciousness, keeping track of developments. Sizing things up. Pondering the “what ifs”.

Generally speaking, there is no marked emotional component to mumbling. As We say, with Rhinos it is the Norm.

Knock, Knock. Who’s there?

We Rhinos don’t have names as our Readers do. It is not a system which would work for Us, or give each of Us the distinguishing qualities We insist on.

Of course, We know one another by Scent, a series of sensations with so many varying levels that mere words could not pinpoint any one of them. Like a swirling ball of Impressions, Reference points, and Intimations. A Symphony played upon a harp, each glissando setting off its own meaningful ripples.

Rhinos are Natural Works of Art, each in a Gallery all our own.

Nah-na-Naaah

Sticking out the tongue is thought of as clever in some circles, very few of which include Rhinos. Derision and face-making are frowned upon, except in highly stressful situations.

At Your Inner Rhino, We seldom stick out our tongues, and assume our Readers don’t either. In a pinch, a Rhino might stoop to an “Oh, Yeah?”.

(Some Hints are more heavy-handed than others.)

Strutting our stuff, subtly

We Rhinos are sometimes spoken of as having a little too much Pizzazz, a syncopated Rhythm to our stride, an air that’s Borderline.

At some level We blush; folks are almost too kind. However, please do not imagine Rhinos get up in the morning, thinking “Ah, let’s Impress the Public.”

It’s just a Natural Gift. We are grateful for it, but it is a Natural Responsibility which no Rhino can shirk. We sashay onward.

Ah, Mathematics

Rhinos cannot count beyond 3 and feel confident. So today We speculate and surmise only.

Vigintillion is a number, taken to the 63rd power. It is a lot. In Mathematical Theory, it is the Biggest Number Ever.

What We Rhinos would like to know is: What happens if you get Two Vigintillions? What number is that? OR what if X is a Vigintillion, disguised as a letter? Hmm?

Gone but not Forgotten

Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican festival, dating back to the Aztecs. The three days are spent celebrating and honoring friends and family who are dead. It embodies a happy sense of lineage and connection.

Rhinos are completely familiar with this sort of acknowledgment for family. Ours is a rich and varied history, and We are aware of the privilege of Being Rhino.

Maybe it all relates to a Sense of Gratitude.
