Conveniently, John Muir was born yesterday, April 21, 1838. He was a dynamic proponent of the out-of-doors, and is often referred to as the Father of the National Parks. He founded the Sierra Club in 1892.
All of Nature is grateful to him for his dedication. Rhinos just as much as anybody.
It’s a pity really how few formal Garden Tours We Rhinos get invited on.
Ah, well. We are perfectly at home in Nature’s garden, and that is fine by Us.

Rhinos are tolerant of Excuses, mostly because the majority of them are vaguely ridiculous.

We Rhinos are occasionally disruptive, it is true. Nature has given Us plenty of wherewithal for Party Critter-dom, and We need to keep these skills and proclivities in shape.
Not every critter is up to the job, as We are.
Somebody’s got to get ‘er done!
Today, in 1881, PT Barnum and James Bailey combined their shows, creating a mega-production, the Circus. After their deaths their circus was absorbed by the Ringling Brothers (1906), resulting in the circus of today.
Circus seems to represent a crazed gaiety, a colorful amalgam of the exotic, the dangerous, and the beautiful.
This circus will have its final performances in May of this year; its time has apparently passed. It was an institution, and had a great deal to recommend it, for “Children of All Ages”.
Green is not just a color, at least from the Rhino standpoint. Well, maybe it is a color if the definition includes Green’s mesmerizing fragrance, its many moods and nuances, intentions and muffled giggles, its potential for dynamic shifts and rhythms, its heroism and its generosity.
That’s our idea of Green; Rhinos feel privileged to be on the planet with it.
Rhinos do not chat much. In the Wild, the noteworthy news is apparent to one and all. We can smell it.
In silence We can absorb the rich data that assails Us. It’s a good system.
As you Readers may have suspected, We Rhinos are made up of Music, to a large extent.
What else could account for Us?
We Rhinos are not sure where the expression “Biting off more than you can chew” came from, but We guarantee it did not come from a Rhino.
