Recollecting

The question today is: Why does anybody expect a Thought to be worth holding onto? Rhinos are constantly being Reminded to Recall something, usually in the face of having obviously not recalled it recently.

Rhino minds are not composed to please anybody else. It’s all We can do to figure out what would please Us, and then get on with it.

There’s only so much Room for Thought, and that room is usually a mess. Ask anybody.

Predictable Surprises…

Rhinos do not like to fuss unnecessarily. It makes for indigestion and weight loss. All bad things for Rhinos.

That said, a little common sense comes in handy, when We remember to trot it out. Common Sense is uncommon, no more so than when We tend to ourselves. Or less so. ?

Anyway, what We can mention is, when you go to the beach, pay attention to the Tides. They come in faster than you assume.

Oh My!

Rhinos are aware that We spend our time choosing how We are spending our time. We do this, or that or perhaps this, but tomorrow.

The emotional component, the sense of Urgency, is something We supply to enhance the choice. That’s what makes most choices memorable; that flip-out App.

Rhinos like drama, in theory. We mostly practice it in our daily lives. Peanut butter or tuna? Oh dear, oh dear!

O’er the Shoulder

Rhinos are not known for our Capacity to recall things. Our minds are assaulted by a cavalcade of ideas and incidents, so it is all We can manage to recall our own names… if We had names.

We are obviously discussing smallish stuff, data that is best forgotten anyway. Complex analysis of Yesterday simply doesn’t pay off. When We have already forgotten half of it, what good is the rest?

Rhino Awareness is about Now. And there is almost invariably more than enough Now for Us all to confront.

Due Processing

Rhinos are embarrassingly Sensitive and Receptive; name a Sensory System, and We are adept. Hearing and Smell usually take the focus, but they do not bear the entire burden.

Where things get tricky is with the Editing Process. What to do with so much stimulation? Rhinos cannot really explain how We snort away the unwanted, or ignore the extraneous, etc. We make Adjustments, as you can imagine.

On busy days, We can get tuckered out.

One Adventure after another…

A Rhino’s days (and nights) are busy, taking care of various duties and making sure to eat and drink enough to maintain ourselves. These tasks are related to our location, what Nature provides.

Still, our Imaginations are always in gear, enhancing our minds and adding spice to the ordered nature of our hours.

Rhinos can enjoy our companions, whether anyone else sees them or not. Right?
