Rhinos are used to solitude. We wander around with other Rhinos, but not in a herd, like elephants. We hang out together when it suits Us, and otherwise, less so.
What We can tell you for certain is: it’s better to be alone and know what We’re doing and why, than hanging out with Bad Influences.
It’s far easier to get into trouble with Encouragement. Rhinos take these warnings into consideration when selecting playmates.
Jacob Marley seems to be Charles Dickens’ poster boy for Regret, discovering, as Marley does, that We can’t just be Naughty all the time without a comeuppance.
Rhinos try to keep our Naughty Activities in moderation, not that it always works out that way.
“He knows when you’ve been Bad or Good, so be Good for goodness’ sake.”
There is some debate among Rhinos about where Bad Decisions originate. Are We momentarily overcome by stupidity, inexperience, or bravado?
The performance might be seen as a ‘learning opportunity’ if the Bad Decision allows for a replay. In the Wild, often they do not.
Bad Decisions are not the same thing as Accidents. Bad Decisions require a dedicated Decider.
New Jersey was admitted to the USA, the 3rd State, in 1789. Frankly, there are amazing facts about New Jersey, many of them pleasant.
For Readers who forgot; New Jersey is a peninsula, being more surrounded by water than not. Much of that water is ocean, but rivers complete the isolation. New Jersey only attaches to New York, northward.
Rhinos are Natural Geographers; We are Adventurous. But We are thwarted by bodies of water now and again. Be Advised: Peninsularity can lurk anywhere.
Rhinos are sometimes asked if We lay eggs, usually but not exclusively by young Readers. The answer is no, at least not so far. With Nature, you never know what’s coming next.
Nor do We nest in the conventional sense.
Rhinos make our babies by a different system, all our own.
‘Your Inner Rhino’ covers many topics, thus requiring a lot of ideas, themes, and whatnots. On our good days, things work out. On our less-good days, We get mildly panicky.
And then, just when things look bleak, over the hill pops Mojo. Mojo arrives in unpredictable ways and times, often between the lines.
All We need is one idea, and then We can take off! Thank you, Mojo.
Rhinos like to think of ourselves as insightful and alert, able to analyze things with the best of ’em.
After all, there is a Reason for everything. Things don’t just get out of hand for the heck of it. Rhinos are given our perceptions for the betterment of one and all.
That said, Rhino Experience has proven that though there may be a Reason for what happens, We Rhinos may never know what it is.
Rhinos are not particular about Time. We do our thing in the present, by and large. Then, when We doze, We check in on that lullaby clock. There Time behaves oddly, fiercely editing itself as it lurches along.
Rhinos can feel nostalgia for the future, no problem.
“Thank you” is a welcome sentiment when offered, and We Rhinos enjoy feeling that way toward those who have been thoughtful with Us.
And so We say, “Thank You”.
Autumn is different in different places, but We like it, wherever and whenever. We love to roll around in the leaves, and inhale that special scent.
Even if it does make Us Rhinos sneeze.
