Ideas are elusive and tricky and unpredictable. Here one moment, then wiggled away the next.
On the happy side, they are all over the place, inside, outside, all over. But on the glum side, they have to be pinned down as soon as they appear, or a Rhino can just forget it.
Or has forgot it.
Timing is often a crucial factor in the course of a Rhino’s life. For instance, what if Today is Your Best Day Ever?
Wouldn’t it be too bad if you hadn’t noticed it as it wandered by?
That’s right. Time to pay attention to the present.
Though it is a pleasure to present oneself nicely, Adversity is not impressed by appearances, nor by good spelling.
Adversity has a system all its own, which no Rhino has yet figured out.
We used to have Ice Ages. Big, long and chilly, that was the Rhino Assessment.
If you want to make your own Glacier, you need special ingredients: First you need a Lot of Snow, plus cold temperatures to prevent melting the Snow away. Then add a lot of Time, and the Snow mounts up: Voila!, your very own Glacier.
Or maybe not. It turns out that Nature has to do projects this large. They are trickier than they look.
Rhinos have misgivings every so often. It’s true.
Doubt makes a poor bedfellow. Doubt does not share the pillow or the blanket; it takes over.
Sleepless nights are far from the worst of it.
Rhinos are fond of the board game Snakes and Ladders, also called Chutes and Ladders, etc. The idea is We go forward and have opportunities of a surprising nature, or step on a snake and slip backwards and try again.
Echoing the Rhino Life Experience, there are no guarantees, just experiences which work out one way or another.
We are showing dice, but there are only three numbers on them, 2 sets. Rhinos can’t count above that, so We make do. Rhinos hang tough.
It is all very well to be complacent, cruising along, awash in self-confidence, gratified in one’s own company, having it all.
Such a Rhino might forget to look both ways when crossing the street. Then, Whoops.
We at Your Inner Rhino are full of it, Sass that is, which proves that a weekend of idleness has positive results… or that We are lucky. We don’t go into these questions too carefully for fear We won’t like what We find out.
Why poke the sleeping warthog, right?
