Nature does it again!

Occasionally, one of Us will be thunderstruck by a random piece  of Cosmic Excellence, as it sweeps past. We stand transfixed, immobilized by the Phenomenon.

How long this dumbfounded state lasts is hard to calculate. Other critters are oblivious, and the Rhino in question loses all sense of Time. Could be minutes, could be days?

These incidents are uncommon, but they do add a sense of Mystery to daily life, and frankly, many daily lives could use the boost.

Happy Birthday, Maestro

Sir Arthur Sullivan (b. 1842) is probably best known for his wildly successful comic opera collaborations with Wm. S. Gilbert in the late 1800s. Sullivan wrote music which was nuanced and extraordinarily memorable.

Rhinos think highly of him, and like to tap our toes along with his work. Makes Us feel cheery.

Out to Luncheon

Delirium is often spoken of as though it were an undesirable state of mind, typified by a lack of self-control and peak emotion.

Rhinos do not see Delirium quite that way. We feel as though our Delirious Side is lurking around each elbow, ready to take the reigns when needed. And frankly, We are grateful for the backup. Even the most stately Rhino needs to let it all out, the often-er, the better.

Delirium is one of the regulated Rhino’s Default Valves.

Expectations

Rhinos are always arriving someplace new, on one level or another.

What’s funny is that things are never Quite what We expected. They may be familiar, but Nature is constantly tweaking events and responses. Things seem the same, but then We notice a weensy shift, and it’s Unknown Territory. Surprise!

Nature is cagey that way. Keeps Us on our toes.
