Today is (and has been) World Penguin Day. Shown are 1) a sign that says so, and 2) a Rhino disguised as a Penguin. Ha ha! Fooled you!
When We Rhinos go incognito, We are slippery indeed.

The Frisbee is an item of long standing. The ancient Greeks liked to play with a discus, similar to the modern Frisbee. After that, various objects suggested themselves for flinging. The Rhino Favorite is the pie plate, perhaps because of its happy associations.
Rhinos aren’t built for hurling themselves about, so Frisbees are attractive to Us because the folk who play seem to have a fine time. Thrills by association, one among many.
The toy company, Wham-O, owns the name Frisbee. So think twice before naming your child that.

Rhinos can never make up our minds about broad humor; We gravitate to it, and yet, the assault on our dignity can be extremely tiresome.
Possibly these humorous episodes build character. Possibly.

Due to our numerical limitations, Rhinos have little use for Pi as a mathematical concept.
Rhinos do have a chokehold on the concept of Pie, so that will have to do.

On March 5, 1963, the patent was granted to Mr. Arthur “Spud” Melin for the Hula Hoop, a toy which he and his partner, Mr. Richard Knerr had ‘invented’ in 1958. It was derived from a piece of exercise equipment popular in Australia.
Rhinos do not own exercise equipment, but our enjoyment of Hula Hoops is not dimmed. We can appreciate them just the same.
What else is an imagination for?
Florida officially achieved Statehood on March 3, 1845, a happy day for all concerned.
Rhinos all wish Florida well, and We salute the native population of Alligators and other fauna, like the Possum.
Please do not panic; it’s just Us playing Masquerade.
Today We all celebrate the 1786 birthday of H. Wilhelm Grimm. He and his brother Jacob made a big contribution to the recording of Folk Tales, many of which are familiar, at least with Us Rhinos.
The Grimms were interested in Language and started an ambitious dictionary of German, though they got as far as ‘F’ before they died.
We don’t know if making a dictionary can have that effect, but don’t say YIR did not give fair warning.
Rhinos do not own Pillows, it is true. But Pillows do exist, and Rhinos have followed their progress for a long time.
The Point is, We were among the first to explore the satisfactions of Pillow Fights! Whacking a Pillow and seeing the feathers go whirling around, well, for an effect, it’s hard to beat.
Once again, We were there, dear Readers. Rhinos get around.
