Music is so appealing! It soothes and stimulates, all at the same time. Pretty nifty.
Rhinos both enjoy it and make it. The Natural material of Music is all around, waiting to be appreciated.
We take note.
Rhino girls often get confused by Ms. Alcott’s books, because We are raised for rough-and-tumble encounters with Life. Apparently, this was not the case for Ms. Alcott’s audience. The Readership probably sees what adjustments Ms. Alcott was suggesting, the get-up-and-go approach.
In the Wild, gender plays a lesser day-to-day part; it’s every critter for him or herself, take it or leave it.
On that gender thing, please recall that every wild Rhino is raised by Mom. No exceptions.
Also, happy 184th birthday, Ms. Alcott.
If indeed the ‘Proof is in the Pudding’, We Rhinos understand that to mean the pudding tastes good, proving it was worth the effort.
Still, We can’t help thinking that that is a suspect way of proving anything. As often as not, We operate on Faith. Also Luck.
No system is Fool-Proof. When it comes to Fools, nothing is guaranteed.
Rhinos used to be the GPS-ers of the high seas, aiding mariners on their exploits. We advised the Captain, who could then get the credit; We didn’t care about that.
Today Vasco Da Gama set off around the Cape of Good Hope, India-bound. True, We Rhinos saw ourselves more as Cruise Directors than anything else; We knew what was where already. Plus, We had Natural Resources at our disposal.
Sailors never noticed Us on deck. Seemed odd at the time, but maybe they were preoccupied with sailor stuff. You see what you expect.
