On whimsical occasions, We Rhinos like to debate about what size boot would be required to kick all the Pepper out of any of Us.
The result of these reveries is a general consensus that Nature must feel there are distinct benefits to the Rhino prickly disposition.
Which means, We are dandy as We are. Which is no surprise, right?
February 4 is Fernand Leger’s birthday, but a while ago. Still, We think highly of his painting style and rich output. Feels Rhinocerine to Us, and who would be better judges of that Essential than We are? He had what it takes to make Us tintinnabulate.
When We like ’em, We say so. Ask anybody.
It doesn’t really matter much what the project is; We find that taking a pause midway to whatever is time well spent. Helps Us regroup and celebrate the endeavor up to the given moment.
Very pleasant, these little rituals.
On occasion Rhinos find themselves described as ‘antisocial’. It would be disheartening if We thought these critiques were justified.
We are a busy species, eating to maintain our stature. We are left with little time for idle pursuits. For Us, it’s all about chewing.
For Rhinos it is not easy to chew and smile at the same time. The one activity must take precedence over the other.
We thought that perhaps the YIR Reader might assume that Rhinos are outstanding day and night, just as part of the Natural Order.
That is not the case. We have to work at it daily and hourly.
Practice makes perfect.
How We Rhinos arrive at our Noteworthy Thinkings is an almost poetic combination of Logic and Inspiration. In various proportions, depending on the topic of discussion.
We do not blush easily, We Rhinos.
Here is a Phenomenon: If Rhinos cross a line somewhere, We are no longer where We were; We are now somewhere else! Even just one toe! These lines are invisible, yet they have great meaning among the Readership and their kin.
We hope you can understand our confusion. How can Here and Here be considered entirely different places?
They taste just the same, We can tell you.
On our good days, We Rhinos often feel swept up ‘in the mood’. An awareness of our remarkable possibilities.
We are then graceful. A pleasant sensation that is, We assure you.
Your Inner Rhino feels the need to make something abundantly clear: This is not an ‘Answer Blog’. Here We ponder and wonder and blunder, but We know nothing for certain. What’s more, We’re proud of it.
Confusion, the mental state in which all critters stumble onward, does not need to worry anybody. Confusion does raise Questions, which are always valuable, however meaningless the answers are in the final analysis.
It’s the attention to what’s happening in our heads that matters. Thinking.
We Rhinos like to think of ourselves as logical and self-possessed, but our Inner Rhinos are seldom fooled. Emotion is the dictating force within Us; it’s what makes Us Rhinos.
We often live in a realm somewhere between Exciting and Perplexing. Off-kilter, slippery when wet, buckle up.
Let’s call it a State of Artisticality.
