Question: Would a Rhino rather fall from the lower building, landing on a hedgehog OR fall from the taller, landing on a pillow?
Answer: Neither, thank you.
Rhinos are heavy, so falls can be oh-so-serious. Impact Issues. That’s why Rhinos don’t generally venture above the first floor.
Chaos and Catastrophe are not synonymous, though the former can certainly make a Rhino anticipate the latter. We feel unsettled, to say the least.
However, because the outcome is not really Known, the upshot could turn out to be all right, which comes as a disappointment, given all the Dread already expended.
We are still jittery, and that’s a fact.
Some days require a little more Paprika in the recipe, to perk things up. Right?
Confusion reigns while the Seasons are making up their minds, neither one thing or another. A daily crapshoot for Us on the receiving end, without dice.
Rhinos chalk up Weather as a part of Life’s Great Adventure. We can’t think of what else to do with it.
Big Question: why is it that when Rhinos sneeze, our Excellent Ideas decide to vanish or go hide or something?
Ideas are slippery. Give them a chance and they scamper off.
True, some of them show up again. We prefer to think that those are the A+ ones.
Tomorrow would be February 29, if it were allowed. There is an explanation for why not, but We don’t really get it. Poor counters, Rhinos.
It seems to Us that We could just add it every year and abbreviate March (or January) by a day. Makes sense, right?

Every Rhino has a full closet (imaginarily speaking) of optional daily get-ups, ways to appear for the world’s (and our own) assessment. When We see ourselves as Victims, We dress and think and act like Victims, and not surprisingly, We are treated as Victims.
This process can develop into a Lifestyle. No Rhino Seal of Approval is forthcoming. Sorry.
(Obviously, there are times when things are truly trying, which is not what We are talking about.)
It’s dandy for a Rhino to Feel Special. Why not? It’s certainly better than feeling afraid or bored or insignificant.
But there is the Limit. When a Rhino gets too La-Di-Dah, We simply point out that moles and moths and trout often feel just the same way.
For all We know, so can dandelions and rocks.
Rhinos have to deal with matters as they develop. Each Rhino is surrounded by a swirling cloud of happenstance, some of our own making, some not so much.
No matter how vigilant We are, Events can seem to tie us in a knot.
The solution to these irksome confrontations is always the same: Tomorrow!
