Rhinos have heard of Unfinished Business, but We don’t subscribe to the idea. Rhino business is all about eating; We are always on the clock, munching or seeking something to munch. Thus We maintain our stamina for Life’s Many Demands.
When our business gets finished, We are out of business.
It’s dandy for a Rhino to Feel Special. Why not? It’s certainly better than feeling afraid or bored or insignificant.
But there is the Limit. When a Rhino gets too La-Di-Dah, We simply point out that moles and moths and trout often feel just the same way.
For all We know, so can dandelions and rocks.
Rhinos have to deal with matters as they develop. Each Rhino is surrounded by a swirling cloud of happenstance, some of our own making, some not so much.
No matter how vigilant We are, Events can seem to tie us in a knot.
The solution to these irksome confrontations is always the same: Tomorrow!
Doubt is a key ingredient to Rhino Thought. We think We know something, but then again, maybe We left out some data, or a bit of wisdom which would sway our Conclusions.
So We pause for a jiffy to weigh the situation.
Rhinos can usually spare the time.
Mr. Galilei (b. 1564) said (in Italian): I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. This seems inspirational to Rhino Mental Flexibility, which is indispensable, especially in trying times.
Galileo also made many inventions and observations about his world, leaps of imagination and faith in his own gifts. Inner Rhino on the job, right?
This is also National Gumdrop Day. Observe it in a way that suits you.
An intriguing phenomenon is that each Rhino gets a Here to work with, usually accompanied by a Now.
Everywhere We look there are lots of Theres, near and far. Whatever they have to recommend them, those Theres aren’t Here. That is how We tell them apart.
A Rhino just sashays up to a There, and Presto, it’s a Here.
Perhaps Rhinos do not come in first every time. Still, We give it everything We have, and then accept the consequences.
As gracefully as possible.
Hiccups happen, as you probably are aware. Rhinos bear with them when they must, having no other option.
The question is, are hiccups contagious? Does one Rhino’s hiccup transfer itself by some convoluted system? Do hiccups have an incubation period?
At the rate this Rhino Investigation has been moving, We may never know.
Rhinos, resilient as We are, are not without Feelings. When a Feeling gets hurt, We have an uh-oh situation. Feelings are an unpredictable and volatile gang.
What’s tricky is: when a Feeling refuses to mend, it becomes a Resentment, which is Not Good.
Rhinos are not at our best when Crabby.
Rhinos are not prey to Envy. Almost ever. Still, it’s easy to understand that We are on the receiving end of a lot of Envy from round and about. It’s the price We pay for feeling good about ourselves.
What We say is: You can dress it up any way you like, but Envy is never pretty.
