Beyond Logic

We Rhinos depend on Intuition to a great extent. Oh, We may bring in Knowledge, Rational Support, or Interpretation later, to prove We knew what We were doing, but who is fooled? No Rhino, that’s certain.

Where is Intuition stored? Does it just lurk over our shoulder, or reside in one of our Ankles, for ready reference? The issue is Unsettled.

What matters more is how Grateful We are for this Natural System of Meaningful Notification.

Job Applications

Rhinos like to attend to matters ahead of time, on the occasions when We recall something is coming up.

Interviews are a big part of any Project which is going to involve Teamwork. You may think that one Partridge is like another, but they are high strung birds, unlike French Hens. Gotta be very Tactful with Partridges. You’d know that if you’d ever discussed Politics with one.

Things usually work out, eventually, but bring your Tact; you’ll need it.

Planetary Switcheroo

Today is the Winter Solstice, at which point days get longer above the Equator, and get shorter below it. It’s because that’s how it is, a perfectly fine Explanation if there ever was one. Very Rhino.

In addition, this year there are a bunch of meteors and shooting stars whooshing around, just to celebrate the occasion.

Sometimes Nature gets carried away. Also Very Rhino.

More Sugar!!

Today has been National Maple Sugar Day. For those of you Readers who live near a maple tree, you are in luck. If you ‘tap’ the tree, the sugary sap drips out into a bucket, assuming you put one where the bucket needs to go. Then you decide what you want to do with it.

That said, sugar is a component of a great many plants, so all is not lost, if you happen to be “maple challenged”. Rhinos know; maples don’t grow where We live either.

Nature provides, everywhere you look.

Color Full

Rhinos are regularly informed that We are Color Blind. Wellllllllllllll, maybe. We see all right, or at least our vision works for Us to the extent that it needs to.

For Us, Color is a cumulative sensation of Presence, combining scent, texture, hearing, taste AND sight. Color doesn’t reduce itself to any one source of sensation.

Rhino Receptors are fine tuned, whatever the source. Or, more accurately, sources.

Nautical Exploits

Rhinos are fine at wading, wallowing, and dipping ourselves in Water. A fine time for one and all. Hooray and Tee Hee.

But Rhinos are keenly sensitive to our own limitations, and merriment on the High Seas is one such limitation. A lesson learned by our ancestors, and kept alive in lore and legend. Sloshing to and fro, lurching and reeling at Neptune’s Whim.

We get Queasy. Which is a nice way of saying, “No, thank you.”
