Sometimes a Rhino will experience an unexpected Change or Revelation, and Bingo! Everything’s different. Like being introduced to a whole new You. Or a revised everything else.
And then, no matter where you look, Everything is rearranged. Just like getting a new set of eyeballs, ones that perceive matters all new.
All things considered, these shifts don’t guarantee Happier Situations, sorry to say.

Even for very clever Rhinos, it is not wise to focus on more than one thing at a time. Oh yes, We can have a number of things on the stove, but it’s best to recall which one will scorch or fricassee. (That’s Kitchen Talk, about which Rhinos know next-to-nothing.)

Rhinos are naturally gifted with ear fringe, but to keep it looking its best, We partake of Herbal Teas. These are created with water and vegetable goodness, varying the recipe with needs and weather conditions at the time.
Rhinos like to attend to the details of our toilettes. It’s just how We are.
Ms. Willa Cather, author, was born today. She was an original voice in American literature, celebrating the strength of purpose of the settlers of the prairies.
These women and men she commemorated were people providing for themselves and their families through honest effort. In difficult circumstances.
Ms. Cather wrote “My Antonia”, “Song of the Lark”, “Death Comes for the Archbishop”, and “O Pioneers!”, among others. She celebrated grit. The Rhino idea of a Big Virtue.
Where Nature puts Us in the Wild, that’s where We Rhinos hang out. Nature never leaves Us high and dry. Everything We need to carry on is provided. And We adapt.
If this weren’t so, Rhinos would all be history, right?
What is wonderful is that this is true for every wild critter on earth. Each of Us is meant to be where We are.
Speaking of Climate, Rhinos used to deal with Cool Circumstances. Nature, always thoughtful, helped Us out with fuzzy outfitting, which was Appreciated. And still is.
Just how We managed to find food has gotten lost in the shuffle. Or the system has been shelved for Future Reference, should things get chilly again. Which they will in time. Naturally.
No. We did not have toboggans. They did not figure into our assignment at the time.
Nowadays Rhinos (all five families) live in warmish places. Some are warm and dry, others warm and moist. Either way, precipitation varies with the seasons.
Given that Rhinos are flexible, We work with what We get, where We get it. And when.
FYI: Rhinos do not sweat as other critters do. We have our own secret system.
Temperament is not predictable, one Rhino to another. Some of Us are more Demure than others, some are more full of Tabasco.
But often, Rhinos of a defined Disposition assemble in a locale and Social Expectations shift, at least in that region.
Must everyone conform to that norm? Generally speaking, no.
