On another note…

Albert Sax was born on November 6, 1814, so We sing happy Birthday to him, the inventor of the Saxophone. He invented (and patented) all the different ones, all at once in 1846, so he must have been very clever.

Rhinos like saxophones, with their peculiar blend of woodwind and brass sounds, ranging from mellow to raucous. Perhaps it is the inherent Jazziness of Rhinodom that finds reflection in the sax’ voice.

Hot stuff. Both Rhinodom and the Saxophone.

Mr. Asimov was quoted back on October 27, but We Rhinos felt it was time for another round, so here We go.

Passions run high in elections, spurred by conviction or hysterics or frustration. Rhinos know all about Regrets for hasty decisions, and We assure you, such decisions are best avoided. YIR is not preaching, just heartily recommending Patience.

Ultimately, the Nation’s goal is Unity, right?

It’s hard to know where to start praising Jane Addams, the co-founder (with Ellen Gates Starr) of Hull House. Together they established social work in the United States, providing for their community. She was a reformer, speaker, philosopher, and activist. Ms. Addams was a staunch Pacifist.

In 1931 Ms. Addams became the first American woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless efforts, at home and abroad.

Rhinos unite in extending our respects to her memory, and to her living ideas.

Sitting Bull was a warrior, holy man, and chief among the Hunkpapa Lakota of the Sioux Nation. He and his people withstood repeated betrayals by the government over tribal lands and rights, treaties notwithstanding.

Since this series is about elections, Rhinos wonder if the candidates will deliver on the promises they are making now, or will there be convenient lapses of memory once the elections are over?

Nobody knows, though We must have our doubts. That is what History has to teach Us.
