Ups & Downs
Rhinos are fond of the board game Snakes and Ladders, also called Chutes and Ladders, etc. The idea is We go forward and have opportunities of a surprising nature, or step on a snake and slip backwards and try again.
Echoing the Rhino Life Experience, there are no guarantees, just experiences which work out one way or another.
We are showing dice, but there are only three numbers on them, 2 sets. Rhinos can’t count above that, so We make do. Rhinos hang tough.
Serenity, as it were
It is all very well to be complacent, cruising along, awash in self-confidence, gratified in one’s own company, having it all.
Such a Rhino might forget to look both ways when crossing the street. Then, Whoops.
As Advertised
We at Your Inner Rhino are full of it, Sass that is, which proves that a weekend of idleness has positive results… or that We are lucky. We don’t go into these questions too carefully for fear We won’t like what We find out.
Why poke the sleeping warthog, right?

Visionary
M. Louis Braille, born 1809 in France, lost his sight in childhood. But by the age of 15, he had developed the system of reading named for him. It works by raised dots on a page.
Rhinos have eyesight, but it isn’t as acute a sense as scent or hearing. Or touch, which is what braille depends upon.
Mighty impressive contribution from M. Braille, with countless grateful beneficiaries.
Humble Heroics
Today is J.R.R. Tolkien’s birthday (1892). He wrote The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, tales of fantastic adventures undertaken for the preservation of Decency.
Sagas of such experiences are common in Rhino Lore, but are too complex to detail in Your Inner Rhino. Just take it from Us, there are lots of similarities.
Clearly, Mr. Tolkien’s inner Rhino was working full time. What else would explain his achievements?
VROOM!
Steamrollers are meant to make things flat. Rhinos are content with wrinkly land, so We don’t need them.
Need them or not, We appreciate how big and rumbly and on-the-job steamrollers are. Outstanding.
Where the steam comes in, We don’t know.
Enigma-ticisms
A mystery that has perplexed Rhinos for some time is: How come tomorrow is a day away, but yesterday was last year?
Explain that one, if you can!
Enough is sometimes enough
Here at Your Inner Rhino We imagine that Father Time may have had it when it gets close to the finish line each year. Probably some years more than others.
This might be such a year, perhaps, maybe, possibly… depending on your point of view. Or not.

Rhinos simply do not speak Mongoose, try as We may.
Lesson: We can’t have it all.
