The Rhino Rule of Thumb is that when We hear the phrase “This is for your own good”, it’s time to find the Exit. Immediately, if not sooner.

Once upon a time
Stories are involving, because when Rhinos encounter Stories, they transport Us to a place where We are not in fact. Indeed, We can transport ourselves with our own imagined doings, our history, our aspirations.
While We follow these fantasy stories, We are There, not Here; We are involved Elsewhere.
The question is: is that a Good Thing or a not-so-Good Thing for critters in the Wild.
Who’s in Charge here?
The Chicken and the Egg
Rhinos sometimes wonder if Imagination is the big mover and shaker of our awareness. Perhaps We do not create or employ our Imaginations; perhaps our Imaginations create and define Us.
There is a mind-meld going on there somehow, but how it works is baffling. When Your Inner Rhino figures it out, We’ll let you know right away.
Honest.
for the Bunny Enthusiast
We Rhinos like to imagine what life in another lane would look like. If We were rabbits, would We still be Rhinos? What differences are involved in fluffy tails? What’s it like to have front teeth? Is hopping all it’s cracked up to be?
These musings may not actually transform Us into bunnies, but they do remind Us of Rabbit Power and Outstandingness. So that is a good thing.
World Rhino Day 2017
Rhinos worldwide are happy to have this annual celebration, so We thank you for your kind consideration.
As you may know, Rhinos are great World Citizens, and have traveled extensively as a species. If you can go there, We’ve gone. Not that We lived Everywhere, but still, a visit is a learning opportunity. Our cup of tea.
Sadly, our thinning numbers make travel less advisable today than in the past. We do not despair; it’s not the Rhino Way.
If I’ve told you Once…
For some reason, Rhinos seldom respond well to Scolding. It may be part of the Maturation Process, but it is not welcomed after the 2 thousandth (?) or 2 billionth (?) time, if ever. Fortunately, We cannot count, for which all young Rhinos are grateful.
Sometimes Scolding brings out the less attractive side of Rhino temperament. It’s true.
