Black Rhino

11-30 BR&Acacia

Back in Africa, We are the Black Rhinos. What We lack in size (We are about half the size of White Rhinos: 11-28-15), We make up in Pizzazz. All Rhinos have the same amount of RhinoHeart, so imagine it informing every cell in a Black Rhino; That’s right, there is a compression factor because We are smaller, so it makes Us that much more Dynamic! Whatever you can be full of, Black Rhinos are twice as full of it!

Shown is part of our secret formula. This is Us eating an Acacia bush. Note all the thorns? Right! We gobble these up, sorting them with our agile lips. Oh yes, our lips are specially tricky, shaped like a hook for selecting prime bits and pieces. We roam, nibbling as We go. Occasionally some grass, but mostly shrubbage.  This diet makes Us feisty.

Who could ever get too much Feisty, right?

Hello?

11-12OnTheLine
In the greater game of Telephone, We sometimes wonder where we figure into the chain of information. Of all critters, are We the first to know, or the last? It’s unlikely that We are mid-chain, since Rhinos don’t pass most messages along.

Maybe We are just a wrong number?

Plugged in

9-24 Connections

Rhinos have delicate internal wiring, and a whole lot of it. Critters as sensitive as We are need complex systems, though you may have suspected that already.

While Rhinos are renowned for their self-possession, it is true that occasionally our wiring develops problems. It can take minutes to locate the issue, and a few more to correct it. Often these glitches have to do with our temperamental regulators. What goes on between the first alarm signal and the final solution can be dramatic, for one and all.

Electronically speaking, We flip out.

The Silver Screen

7-30 Cinematized

Like a cinema presentation, our entire past is ready to roll upon request. When We say ‘entire’, We mean the whole shebang, back to who-knows-when, which was a lot ago. A Rhino Netflix, if you will. Or a memory bank with added attractions.

We are talking Inside here. As you would expect, there is a scent factor to each image, which informs the viewer of the intensity and mood of the given “film”, somewhat like a sound track or background music.

The experience can be mesmerizing. So whelming is it that We can only enjoy these viewings in small doses, lest We fry our circuits. Plus We have other things to attend to, mostly kids and dinner.

We feel pretty certain that these presentations are part of our in-the-womb training (see December 6, 2014), since none of Us is taken by surprise by the contents. We just refresh our faith in ourselves. And our faith in Nature.

These visions are Nature’s bedtime story. Some features come with cartoons, but not all.

Crowd Control

6-15 a la Escher

Inside each of Us there is a gang of miniature Selves, each with some mission, scooting around wherever needed. This gang is diverse: all different species, families, ages, genders, ideologies, what have you. A remarkably friendly collection of goals, aligning themselves as suits the case. Many points of view, but none exclusive of another.

Where this gang comes from must be genetic, but We can’t honestly say We know how they organize themselves, or when. We are just happy with the results of their efforts; they make Us kind, alert and grounded, which is good for our Self-Esteem.
