Few trees live to see a Grand Old Age, just like most living things in the Wild. That is just how it is, so why snivel?
That said, Rhinos are in awe of mature Trees in their grandeur, their steadfast dedication to their calling. They stand as sentinels, as reminders of Natural Potential in some ultimate form. Plus potential in every critter, Rhinos not least of all.
Oh Nature, what Possibility you offer Us!
No matter how many bits of information or how extensive the catalogs any Rhino keeps, Answers often seem inaccessible.
What is often helpful is recalling the Answer before We justify it. The Answer is there already; Inside, where it counts. We just have to acknowledge it.
Your Inner Rhino is not infallible, but pretty close.
Every Rhino has Past Selves, and usually Future Selves. But the trick is: None of those versions are really Me right now.
All a Rhino can embrace is this moment, this brief passage of our lives.
It is a Good Realization and only gets better with Practice.
Today is Walt Whitman’s birthday, 1819. He was a moving spirit of independent thought and core value, derived from presence of mind and energetic decency.
His contribution to Americans’ idea of themselves is incalculable.
In 1498 Vasco da Gama arrived in India. He did not discover India, since it was already there and everybody knew it. What he did find was a way to get there by boat, sailing around Africa. Very Big Deal for Portugal, yes it was.
Exploration is a good thing, but it does all depend on perspective, just who is on the receiving end of what experience.

In the Wild, there is nothing much to be done about Weather. It comes, it goes, all in its own good time.
Rhinos, like the rest of creation, make what best of it We can. Things usually work out.
Naturally.
Rhinos are always arriving someplace new, on one level or another.
What’s funny is that things are never Quite what We expected. They may be familiar, but Nature is constantly tweaking events and responses. Things seem the same, but then We notice a weensy shift, and it’s Unknown Territory. Surprise!
Nature is cagey that way. Keeps Us on our toes.
Sometimes Rhinos get vexed when there is no general concern displayed over exotic or distressing Events.
It is good to recall that friends or relatives may know nothing of the situation, or conceivably be having problems themselves.
Ah well.
Rhinos are always generous with Criticism, but 99% of it is aimed at our own output, in whatever form is under discussion.
We are “Back-to-the-Drawing Board” critters, when conditions demand it. Why settle?
Magic is all about snappy shifts: it was that thing, now it’s this thing! Ta Daaaaah.
So everything doesn’t take a bunch of time to change. Sometimes a Rhino will just have an Insight, and then, Zap!, everything is different. A Change of Mind.
