8-21 ABeardsley

‘Hurrah’ for Aubrey Beardsley, the 19th c. illustrator, is what We Rhinos say. His eccentric vision, combined with his distinctive composition and pristine linework, is mesmerizing.

It delights all Rhinos to see anyone find a self-expression so dynamic.

‘Wow’ is what We also say. Loud and long.

Sumatra Tales

8-15 SumTales

The stories and histories that cement the Rhino Family come in many forms, for sure. The majority are related to scent, many to sound, but there are also visual springboards a-plenty.

Rhino Awareness is chock-full of stimulation as it is. Stories, however they are transmitted, help to keep things in perspective.

Rhinos are lucky. Who’d know better than We do?

Fig baskets: full of surprises

8-12 CleoLastHurrah

At Your Inner Rhino We usually commemorate historic births of interest. Unfortunately, nobody seems to recall when Cleopatra was born, so We are forced to use her death date, back in 30 BC.

Cleopatra was quite a gal: she not only ruled Egypt, but was known for many other memorable adventures and powerful playmates.

Things eventually went badly for her, so Cleopatra stung herself with an Asp. Another riveting hissssssstory lesson from YIR.

Kissing up

8-10 Pleasing

We can’t imagine why Rhinos would bother to try pleasing everybody. It’s a fruitless task, for sure. What pleases one critter agitates another critter. Where does all that second-guessing lead to? Right, nowhere much.

We are not recommending UNpleasantry. We are merely saying that other critters’ mindsets are theirs to improve. Not our business.

A reminder: We don’t have teeth like the ones in the picture. Just grinding teeth, African Rhinos, that is. But all those teeth make for a more passive-aggressive and unctuous smile.
