Ophidiophobia

9-1 Snakebitten

Once snakebitten, It only makes sense to keep an eye out for other members of the offending clan.

One hazard of that is that you can be scared frantic by a rope- or a shoelace. Doesn’t seem quite fair, but there you have it.

Rhinos do not write the rules in these matters.

Puck-ed

8-27 MSND

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a fine play, genuinely funny. Puck is a free Spirit, independent, rambunctious, unpredictable, and cagey: entirely likable.

These traits are common among Rhinos, so We gravitate to characters who know about Mischief first hand.

Admittedly, Rhino understanding of Convention is somewhat limited.

Rise & Shine

8-22 Phoenix

As a general rule, Rhinos do not tramp around in the ashes of Yesterday’s disappointments. Like a Phoenix, We like to leap from the cinders and skip around, making the most of Today.

Rhinos don’t really get dressed up, but our intention to make the Best of things is so self-evident that the association comes to mind.

In rough translation, that would be “Yabba Dabba Doo!”

Beyond the Thermometer

8-16 RabbitCreek

Gold Rush Fever broke out in the Klondike shortly after the discovery of gold on August 16, 1896. When word got out, there was a crazed rush to get in on the action. Some prospectors got wealthy, but most did not.

We Rhinos went up there for a peek, but the customs were too Wildly Wooly. Also, there was not much to eat when it started to snow.

Gold is all very well, but Rhinos favor low shrubs.

Sumatra Tales

8-15 SumTales

The stories and histories that cement the Rhino Family come in many forms, for sure. The majority are related to scent, many to sound, but there are also visual springboards a-plenty.

Rhino Awareness is chock-full of stimulation as it is. Stories, however they are transmitted, help to keep things in perspective.

Rhinos are lucky. Who’d know better than We do?

Illuminational

7-30 lotsa light
One thing Rhinos occasionally remind ourselves about is How Much Light there is, all over the place. Everything gets lit up, wherever We go. We are awash in light. Even in the night, there is plenty of light for us to see what’s what. Or at least enough to not get into trouble.

We know that daylight comes from the sun, but where does night light come from?

Darned if We know…?
