Puttin’ on the Ritz

5-15 a la Klimpt

From time to time, We just want to mentally brush up our image, so We indulge ourselves. Klimpt’s paintings, for instance, are spectacular. We imagine ourselves clad in that much glamor, and bask in our own glow for a good four minutes. But, ah, the associated thrill is transitory.

Our minds soon wander to other things, most of them edible.

4-22 Bard

Shakespeare was a famous human who wrote plays in England. The plays are famous too. He was born in 1564, which was long ago. Or relatively recent, depending. Happy Birthday, Mr. Shakespeare.

Rhinos enjoy attending the theatre, but We confess, most plays deal with issues We don’t confront in the Wild. It probably has something to do with human concerns We don’t appreciate. Relationships in the Wild are less tortured.

This is not a portrait of Shakespeare, but one of Us pretending to be Shakespeare. This site is Your Inner Rhino, right? Not Your Inner Bard.

We like dressing up.

Free Wheeling

Cartwheel

Some days, hurling yourself around out there seems like a fine solution, no matter what the provocation. We gotta do what We gotta do, right?

We Rhinos don’t actually have to perform a cartwheel to grasp the exhilaration of it; We live in a state of constant exhilaration already. We just focus that thrill factor onto the cartwheel format, and Voila!

Big Fun

3-31Crayola!

Today is Crayola Crayon Day! Good times, coming and going. We don’t actually own any crayons, but the adventure they provide is undeniable. Self-expression in a zillion colors, with a sharpener.

They do not taste as good as they smell.

One big thing We know: they melt if you leave them in the sun.

Lunar puzzlings

Flavors+ We are hazy about how far away the moon is, but mega-distant is what We are told.

If you had a scoop of ice cream for each of Us, here and gone, the stack would get to the moon easily; stands to reason, right? 55 million years makes a really big family.

But the Interesting Fact is, each of Us on that cone would be a different flavor. No two scoops would be the same. Like snowflakes, each of Us has things in common with our kin, but also bits of specialness that tone the contribution We each make to the Whole of Rhinodom.

There is much to ponder about Us. That’s what We think, anyway.

Also, there’s a lot to ponder about ice cream.

All said and done, there’s a lot to ponder every which way.
