The Diamond Sutra was printed in 868 AD. It was the first printed document that still exists, albeit a scroll, printed with wood blocks, not moveable type. It’s in the British Library in London.
The Buddhist philosophy it offers is that We are each defined by Everything Else around Us. We are each crucial to the Whole, being the missing piece.
Rhinos like this idea. It seems in proportion. We are not The Whole; We are a component of The Whole, neither dismissed nor exalted. We are at One with all of Nature. The Moth no more or less than the Mountain.
A really lovely one today. Both Bryan and I send gratitude and love. Xxx Jane

The times are not easy, but they somehow remind us to see what is remarkable in one another, to applaud each other, accept the gifts they offer or embody. Not easy, but possibly therapeutic.
