Happy Groundhog’s Day, dear Readers, from Your Inner Rhino.

Rhinos brains are not as big or heavy as either elephant or human brains, but there is a good reason. Our Rhino Brains are so streamlined and compact that Nature has let it go at that. Why waste the space on an organ We have, and a fine one at that?
Also, the fact is that Rhinos have more brain centers, spotted throughout our bodies. These weigh stations contribute to the overall smooth operation We call Rhino. Automatic Modulations, We call them.
We are showing you this diagram, not because it is accurate, but because We know our Readers like diagrams. We do too, but Rhinos seldom count on them.

Today the Staff of Your Inner Rhino.com got all excited when We found that GOOGLE ‘Images’ has a YIR illustration under the label “Rhino Brain Location”, the third row from the top. IQ Sweater. We’re Famous, more or less. Confetti Time!
True, it is just the image, but if you want to see it with its associated text, go to <yourinnerrhino.com> and look in the Archive, June 30, 2017. Not only will you see the image, but stimulate your thinking. Think of it as a YIR Scavenger Hunt, kind of.
Tomorrow, We hope to have more illuminating observations, but that’s about it for today. We are too cranked up to squeak. Or think, which seems a bit ironic, right?

Life in the Wild is Wild, as you might expect. It is called the Wild for various reasons including the unpredictable nature of Nature’s System. Sometimes the weather gets hectic, or the plants rebel, or the bugs are having fits, or the local Critters are responding to Stress, one way or another. Also, sex.
Rhinos are Wild Animals, in oh-so-many ways. We like to make our own special contributions to the Wild. We have quite a repertoire ready to go; We are always working on new and surprising additions to the menu.
We don’t require much provocation to rev our motors. Wild, man.

We Rhinos are each on our way to Wherever. If We are in a hurry to get Somewhere, We are told it is best to stay on the path. Sounds right, but We have our doubts.
Let’s face it, the is a whole lot more “Not the Path” than there is “The Path”. Simple logic tells Us that more stimulating stuff is bound to be lurking “Off the Path” than on it. Right? Right.
We Rhinos do have to be sensible. There is a responsibility that goes with having Big Brains.

Today is Mr. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson’s birthday, but in 1832. He was a maths scholar and teacher at Christ Church, Oxford, England. He is best known today by his pen name, Lewis Carroll, and in 1865 published ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’. ‘Through the Looking Glass’ followed in 1871.
Rhinos have loved his work from the very beginning, sharing his convoluted narratives and bizarre characters. All very witty and double-edged nonsense. These books have too many virtues and surprises and delights to enumerate. (Meaning more than 3).
We encapsulate his work with the expression “Wow!”

Not knowing where We are is not really the same as being Lost. To be lost, Rhinos would have to contrast here with wherever We thought We would be, and not know how to get where We assumed We would be. On the other hand, We can and often do not know where We are, but it’s not a concern. We simply skip the Confusion Stage, and investigate Here, Now.
We Rhinos like to be receptive to Possibilities, or, on an optimistic note, Opportunities.

When We Rhinos get tuckered out by Expeirence, We often take a brief lie-down. This pause is refreshing and allows the spirit to soar a bit. Obviously time well spent, not only for Us but for everyone else also.
We think of these naps as short-term investments, but We don’t stress out over free interpretations of N. Duration. We have enough on our minds already.
Do you like the camouflage? Life in the Wild makes Rhinos cunning.
