Today YIR salutes the women of the Himba, herders of NW Namibia. They color their skin and hair with red ochre paste (otjize), earning them the name of the Red Women.
Rhinos don’t have a formal system, but We do dust our skin with Earth for protection from the sun and insects. We end up matching the area We inhabit, in some ways like the Himba women.
