Sig. Niccolo Machiavelli, b. 1469 in Florence, Italy is remembered today for his book, ‘The Prince’. In it, he details the lengths to which a Leader must go to achieve and retain Power. He points out that the Appearance of Virtue is dandy, but the Reality of Self-Interest is what counts. The Game is won by the Cunning and the Ruthless.
Rhinos don’t have political goals, so Mr. Machiavelli’s ideas are hard to grasp. Without the concept of ownership, his aggression is murky. And Rhinos don’t own anything tangible.
Still, Rhinos do have our own Self-Respect, so We win.
