Today We are saluting Fernando Botero. He comes from Colombia, which is in South America. His famous artworks concern themselves with figures of bulk, ultra 3-D, sensuous.
A Rhino kind of guy. Hence the homage, heartfelt if pale-by-comparison, above.

Yup. It’s hard to choose which is better- his sculptures or his paintings. Such a singular view of the figure, crammed full and magnificent.

I’m a paintings girl, myself. The sculpture overwhelms me. That’s not just Botero, though. I guess I’m easily whelmed.
