Rhinos are Nature’s philosophers; it’s just how We are made. (It may be due to our demi-Greek heritages.) Give Us a problem and We will mull it over, assuming it interests Us or We understand the question.
We do not bother to formalize our determinations however. We would be certain to change our conclusions sooner (likely) or later (less likely). Lack of documentation of our cogitations is a help, and saves wear and tear on the Environment.
Rhinos are Globally-Conscious if nothing else.

To our surprise, most chickens are unaware they are actually laying eggs. They sit down, and when they get up, whadayaknow!?, there’s an egg. Cycles and cause-and-effect questions are met with blank stares. Rumination, your term, may not apply to the poultry of the world… or not on a level which We comprehend.
