Dewing, Dewing, Done!

Breakfast is always a Rhino Favorite, in large part because of the morning dew. It just makes things that bit more special.

Our other Rhino Favorites are brunch, lunch, tea-time, dinner time, and snack time, and midnight chow-down, with breaks for appetizers when they show up. Also palate refreshers.

It’s a lot to keep track of, happliy.

Jitters

Sometimes We Rhinos feel We should just get over our nervous flutterings, to toughen up. Old rhinos know better, and in our heart of hearts, We know better too. We cannot discard the parts of Us that make Us Us.

Our history, individually, informs our every moment in subtle ways. We experience Fear, but in relation to prior experience and teaching. Get over it? good luck.

Or perhaps We can accept our eccentricities, and learn to live with them. Perhaps.

OLe’

In any artistic endeavor, We Rhinos sign on with Gusto and Intention and Calculated Anticipation. Why not? We do not need a round of applause from the gallery or reviews from the critical; We supply that for ourselves, flashing and thrashing our way to Exhilaration. With castanets or without.

Yeah, Ole’ about covers it!

Mr. Robert Burton

Mr. Burton is best known for his great opus, “The Anatomy of Melancholy’, printed first in 1621. It is an important forerunner in psychology and self-awareness, a study of mental trials, their causes, and their cures. As far as We Rhinos know, he may have been a jolly fellow himself. Or not.

“What cannot be cured, must be endured” is only one quote from his book, full of insights and common sense suggestions. He spent the last 39 years of his life reworking and improving his book.

What is impressive is that the book, when finished, ran to 900 pages. We Rhinos gulp.

PandoraPower

Each of Us Rhinos is inextricably tied into a circuit of Passions, which are mostly Energies and Drives, working their magic on Us at a specific moment. It’s a pretty immense Natural system, when We think about it.

On the plus side, We can’t separate our goals from our emotions. Without wanting an imagined outcome, We have no reason to pursue a goal. It is the wanting that gets Us revved up.

Where things get tricky is that once RhinoPassions are let loose, they have dimensions We can’t always control. And nothing can scramble Rhino wits like Emotion.

Mindboggling

We might reckon Africa is a Large Continent, but here is a picture showing just How Big it is! All of this is showing square miles for nations, jammed into Africa’s 11.7 million square miles. Also, around the border are nations which would fill a few of the gaps.

We Rhinos are impressed, Big Time! No place like Home, indeed!

Modesty Forbids

We Rhinos are often asked for our image on posters, promoting slogans of merit. The one We get most requests for is “Ignorance is Bliss”.

Rhinos certainly stand behind this philosophic evaluation, having maintained our own ignorance for Millenia.

It accounts for why We are so even-tempered.
