In the Wild, Rhinos can only sleep with their Alarm System engaged. That System is hooked to one nostril or the other, wired to jolt our Rhino into consciousness.

At that point, the Rhino can analyze matters, and decide to Take Action, or roll over for more winks. But, still with one nostril cocked.

That way, the off-duty nostril gets a good night’s sleep.
