In the Kitchen with Shakespearean

From that cunning old recipe in MACBETH:

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake.
Eye of Newt, etc., etc.

For those of you who want to try this recipe, Shakespeare was referring to black mustard seed, when discussing Newt’s Eyes. Who knew? Likewise, Toe of Frog refers to buttercups.

    • Keep thinking ahead- You have to act when the Season is right; then you save up for later usage. Or get a pet toad.
