Tonight is the Cold Moon, the last full moon of 2020. Rhinos all like Full Moons because they agitate Us and make Us feel twitchy. A natural supposition is that We might get So Twitchy, that We would be Transformed!

Thus, We might become Were-Rhinos. Yessir. We might sprout hair and claws and sharp teeth. So far, this has been based on supposition alone. Still, We wonder.

You never know.

Rhinos are aware of the gripping drama inherent in some of Nature’s sweeping gestures. For instance, the Avalanche. For most folks, the Avalanche is exciting in its violence, its sudden appearance, its unpredictable course and duration.

What is not entertaining is being involved in an Avalanche, or other Natural Upheaval.

For the witnesses to an Avalanche, it is not an entertainment. It is a Calamity.

Rhinos like to be Flexible, to go with the flow, see things from both sides… But sometimes, Flexibility provides a doorway to Chaos. We can’t discern one perception from another.

We don’t know which way We are coping with the Looking Glass; are We entering it, or extricating ourselves from it?

The question demands Reflection…

Rhinos are jolly critters, and enjoy a Festivity, whether We understand it or not. By this system, We enjoy many more Celebrations than We would if We only accepted one sort of Merriment over another. Exclusivity comes at a price.

All right! Yes, We are Party Animals. Are We sorry it is so? Not really. A Good Time only works if there are critters there to fizz and bubble. For a good time, put a few Hamsters on the guest list, then watch out!

Rhinos happen to be equipped with the proper Frame of Mind.

One thing to depend upon: When Santa leaves your house, the milk and cookies are History.

He must be a very hungry guy…

One thing We Rhinos lack is Patience. We want things to happen Now, not soon, but Now. Occasions can try Us. We have to wait and wait.

Anticipation, that’s what it is, and We object. We do hold off, but We don’t have to like it. We get so agitated and fretful. What is it, will We like it, can We Eat it? We must hold off until Wheeeeeeen?
