Dinner Conversation

Doubtless you have heard the expression “don’t talk with your mouth full”. There may be places where that directive has meaning, but not for Us Rhinos. We are on duty to eat as much as possible so We can stay trim and vigorous, or get that way.

However, each of Us has a repertoire of grunts, humphs, squeaks, wheezes and burblings that keep the communicative lines open while dining. Any other Rhino can chime in, using the same method. It works pretty well. Not so good for specific data, but Rhinos don’t focus on that stuff, otherwise known as gossip.

For chit-chat, We have to pause our chewing, which misses the point of Eating in the first place. A Natural riddle, if there ever was one.
