Rhinos want to be in charge of ourselves. It’s a comforting self-perception. A great part of the appeal is that We create the rules for ourselves, and then find ways to “win”.

Today We point out that all the Controls are made up; We invest in being a Fictional Character, though We each created that character ourselves. This Creation lives independently, just as it’s supposed to do. It’s a way to elude Reality, substituting a controlled, unthreatening reality.

In the drawing, the Reality is the pink part. All the Ideas are frantically drawing our attention, but the pink part is just there, everywhere. The more effort We expend controlling, the more We miss of ourselves. Because the pink part is not proving anything, it seems chaotic. But there it is, the Situation of each moment. Infinite Options.
