Rhinos like to think of our fathers as ideal in every way. For Us, We can make up what he was like, since We are all raised by our mothers. That’s our system, take it or leave it. So Dad is who We pretend he was.

We have overheard other critters (and Readers) mention specific reservations about their parents, where their folks failed and how perverse it all was.

Rhinos are naïve that way. But We do wonder how anybody can think a parent ruined things on purpose.

True, some parents are not at their best a lot of the time. But no matter what, whoever woke up and thought, “I know, today I’ll screw up Parenthood”?
