As with many musical instruments, We Rhinos have limited access. There are many possible issues, most determined by size; either the instruments are too small, or We are too big.

Therefore, We stretch the idea of specific instruments having particular ‘voices’. We can play and hum/moan at the same time, and those combined skill sets create a somewhat pretty-proximal sound, adding up to Harmonica playing. Similar efforts can demi-duplicate the bagpipe and the didgeridoo. Believe it or not.

Rhinos do not have names, as many of our Readers do. We go on about our business, unhampered by labels. Why bother? We achieve our singularity by Scent, milling about, memorable as We are. Happy, and recognized for our multiple distinctions, our Natural gifts.

Rhinos have noteworthy skills when it comes to scent; We know who has been eating what, how recently, and if the meal contributed to that other Rhino’s peace of mind. All scent is tailored to the specifics of the each Rhino. And of their friends and relations.

You can understand why names in particular are hard for Us to recall. We have such a glut of information, why would We bother? Too much information to juggle as it is.

Rhinos have keen noses. We perceive with the best sniffers anywhere, at least most of the time.

It’s a great gift, especially in the Wild, where there is a lot to focus on. We sort scents and come to conclusions, many of them oriented toward Edibility. And also, Delight.

Though it may be that those Two are actually One.

The Summer Solstice is upon Us, according to those who understand how these events make themselves known. Who are We Rhinos to argue it?

Good question, come to think of it…

Irksome as it may be, there are times when a Rhino just runs out of excuses.

Never seems quite fair.

Properly speaking, Rhinos are not 100% Morning Critters, but We are good to go the vast majority of the time. Some distant mental gong goes off, and up We get.

Time to get cracking. As Rhino moms say, “Breakfast will not eat itself”.

They call it Czech-ers.

Rhinos may be thought of as Intellectuals, but part of our mental subdivision is devoted to the Ridiculous, an example of which We here offer, from the Dad Joke Department.

Prague has been an historical hub for board games, being a contributor to local economic vigor. If you are able, name that game for yourselves, but Do Not Post the Solution so others may gnash their teeth while they work on the riddle. (Hint: it is not ‘Monopoly’.)

Optimally speaking, Father’s Day is often a good day for testing out a hammock. In theory, if not in fact. Rhinos find it difficult to locate a hammmock, ready to accomodate Us.

Well, it’s the thought that counts, We figure.
