Midnight Alert

Plants have moods and they have particular needs. They send out messages to the environment, advertising themselves. The interesting part is that they often send these little scented hellos in the middle of the night. In the Wild, timing can be crucial.

Rhinos are good sleepers, but one whiff, and We are up and about. This is often when a plant is at its most flavorful.

We’d hate to miss that!

We Flourish

and whyever Not? Rhinos are offered so many paths for Success, We hardly know where to start. Opportunities abound and We have a happy temperament for coping with ‘Reality’. Our history, our mindset, our focus, dynamism, and determnation- is it any wonder We thrive?

Plus, We stay current, taking advantage of what’s new. Take Crayons, for example: always the right tool for whatever job turns up. Gadzooks! We are on it!!

Inklings

Our Readers can take it from Us Rhinos, that illiteracy is no fun at all, in any language.

We know all that stuff on the page means something, but how to access it?

We feel excluded. We might have things to offer, but We don’t know how to share ourselves with these authors. A pity, really.

Worth considering…

Marcus Aurelius, a Roman emperor and Stoic Philosopher is said to have said:

“The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.” (a Very Rhino sort of observation.)

That was said, in Latin, between 121 AD and 180 AD, which is when M. Aurelius lived.

Hesitation

There is a fine line between ‘Yes, Please’ and ‘No, thank you’. We Rhinos find it surprising since there are clearly choices involved, but neither one does the trick.

We must choose between teetering on the brink and teetering on the brink. So We teeter, often for prolongued periods.

When someone demands what We are going to do, We Rhinos always answer, “Who’s asking?”

Telling it as We see it

Rhinos take a dim view of concealing our opinions. We offer our thoughts primarily when asked, with no frills.

Foolishness seems to involve a belligerance which We Rhinos cannot fathom. Or tolerate.

We are interested in comparing ideas if there are sensible folk around. Unfortunately, there often are none in the area.

Mindset

This quote is probably by Edgar Allan Poe, but there is room for doubt, say they who study these things.

All sensible critters feel out of step sometimes. Rhinos do understand, and offer support where and when We can. When We are in the neighborhood…

And not feeling too jangled ourselves.

Now, made of Thens

Wherever Rhinos go, We are keenly aware of how much ‘Then’-ness was required to get Us here, Now. ‘Then’ comes in many flavors, with dates, sentiments, and events, connections and disconnections, meaning things and meaning nothing, given the cascade of data and passions We encounter. We snatch what We can, which isn’t much.

One reason Rhinos do not wear shoes, is that the earth oozes information and expertise and enthusiasm, all shooting into Us, through our soles, or souls. We proceed with magnificent underpinnings.

Frankly, the entire business is incalculable.
