idle moments…

In between events and naps and snacks, We Rhinos can focus our attention on how lucky We are to be Rhinos. There are so many fine points to notice!

Fortunately for everybody, Rhinos can’t count, so We must use words like ‘scads’, and ‘thunderations’, and ‘many-many-manies’. We don’t take these marvels for granted, but being on the receiving end of Nature’s bounty makes Us a bit light-headed.

This is called a ‘Natural Consequence’. We have to take a time-out and gather our wits.

On the Lookout

Rhino Tots are raised by their R Moms. Rhino Dads are not suited to parenting, and many are temperamental. Romance, as our Readers may think of it, is not a Rhino factor. ‘Connections’ are due to pheromones, which attract R Bulls to the Moms. Then, it’s ‘Thanks and See Ya’. No R family model. No disapppointment where there is no expectation.

But many young Rhinos feel the need to meet their Dads, and go searching him. Moms have to be wary of these quests, as young Rhinos are vulnerable to the Wild side of the Wild.

Clearly, what happens next varies among cases.

on a good day

We Rhinos like to glance back at how Today went. That done, it is bedtime. Or time for a stroll. Or perhaps just a nap. The moment is controlled primariy by whim.

So We wrap up the day, and We mentally wrap ourselves in an awareness of Good Things.

We feel swell.

Connection

Are We Rhinos sorry because We cannot see one another all the time? No, We are not.

The foundation of our relationships with family and friends is not tied to places and events, as much as the idea that We have had opportunities to see the Very Best of what is inside those folk. And that privilege We can take with Us wherever they may be, or We may be.

There is so much Excellence available to Us!

Taking a moment

We Rhinos are not usually date-sensitive, but We like to give a fond farewell when We remember to… or if We are reminded. (This accounts for all the birthday cards y’all did not receive, btw.)

So now We salute May, but turn our attention to June. Let Us hope that goes even better than May did. Yes, let’s hope for that.
