Please help me, if you can.

HELLO out there! I am having trouble making jpegs from my original Photoshop art. The jpeg has been removed from my ‘Save As’ menu options, replaced by jpeg2000. However, jpeg2000 does not function on either WordPress or Facebook. That explains the lack of reading/art material at present.

I would welcome any suggections about how to correct matters. Please be specific and avoid acronyms. I am painfully ignorant of that aspect of computer functions.
Many thanks-
Bill

I have worked with jpegs for the past 3,200 pieces of art, so you can imagine my dismay at the present shift.

Lest he slip your Attention

Mr. J. Sheridan Le Fanu’s name may be unfamiliar, but he was an author in 19th century Ireland. (1814-1873). He was an innovator in what was then a new genre of literature, namely the Ghost Story. He created not only plot devices, but also the tone in which the occult and bizarre are perceived and discussed. He manipulated the line between the natural and the supernatural.

Many other authors have acknowledged a debt to Mr. Le Fanu; his works helped create the Gothic Romantic tradition. Rhinos like Ghost Stories, but We do get over-excited, which is not always a pretty sight.

Try Mr. Le Fanu’s works, you may like them. At any rate, thrust your mindset back 200 years, and recall that everything began somewhere, literary Ghost and Macabre Tales being no exceptions.

Inside Story

It takes about 16 months to make a Rhino, inside. But today We don’t want the entire focus to be on the body-in-the-making. While We are growing and improving in there, We are also being educated in the basics of Rhino Life. The specifics of the system are cloaked in mystery, and each mother tells it her way.

The upshot of all this is that Rhino Babies are produced with a lot of information already on hand, ready to go, prepped and invigorated. We may not know it ALL at birth, but We know a lot.

We come out ready to do Rhino Business!

August Rituals

Rhinos, like all other critters, live within a predictable set of cycles and developments. Some sneak up on Us, others demand positive action. Deep breathing is in order on occasion, on others We need to reallocate our energies, usually by displays of Rambunctitutde. We check our Sass Quotient, and then gyrate and cavort until We reach some sort of Equilibrium.

Rhinos always look forward to these periodic reboots. But We do get quite an appetite.

a-lick-and-a-promise

Nobody ever accused Rhinos of being Great Housekeepers, even in the Wild. Rhinos don’t live in houses, but more on shifting Turf. Where We are, We Rhinos label it ‘Home’. That does not involve fiddling with the landscape. Nature has no intentions in those directions for Us, at least as far as We are aware. The appeal of dusting does not include all critters, as Rhinos can testify.

The idea of tidying up does have a mystic appeal for some, We know. We see it on TV, We see some critters ‘maintaing’ their residences in the Wild. We be baffled.

But for Rhinos, it comes down to moving the dust around, just for the sake of it. If We wait ten minutes, a breeze will come whoosh the dust hither-thither, and nobody will care where it started out from. Certainly, We won’t.
