In Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, Alice keeps involuntarily changing size. When hoping to increase herself, she finds a glass box of small cakes, inscribed “Eat Me”. Very hard for Us Rhinos to imagine that Mr. Carroll was not himself part Rhino, or at least on speaking terms with a Rhino or two.

Rhinos are easily stimulated on the topic of treats. “Eat Me” ! My oh my, Mr. Carroll was clearly writing for the right customer.

And so, the cakes did the trick, and Alice grew and grew back to normal, whatever that is. AND all of that merriment is in Chapter One.
